October: Folk Music

October: Folk Music

It's American as apple pie--folk music.

In the early 1960s, folk music legends like Pete Seeger led local get-togethers known as hootenannies while clubs, such as The Gaslight and Gerde's Folk City, dominated the Greenwich Village scene.  A young musician fresh from the Iron Country of Minnesota began was influenced by Seeger, Joan Baez, the Kingston Trio, Harry Belafonte, and others. His new name? Bob Dylan.

Mark entertains and informs with storytelling, humor, and audience participation. Your group will love the interaction, memories, and great music.
